PHILADELPHIA -

This is important: before you click on that next email, make sure you know who it is from.

In what some experts are calling one of the worst computer viruses they've ever seen, it not only has the potential to destroy your hard drive, it will also hold your data for ransom.

So what is it and what do you do? Tech expert Anthony Mongeluzo was back on "Good Day Philadelphia" on Friday morning with the answers

The new virus going around is called "Cryptolocker." Computers are affected through phony email or through browsing.

Cryptolocker gives you certain amount of time to pay up or your data will be gone. Experts say the viruses are becoming more sophisticated and more prevalent.

What's making this all harder to trace? Hackers are apparently using Bitcoins to collect ransom made by virus victims.

Mongeluzo said you have to have a backup system or there may be no way of getting personal pictures and data back.
