How old do you think kids should start trick or treating alone? An organization called "Safe Kids Worldwide" found that 12% of kids under five trick or treat alone. They say that children 12 and under should have parental supervision.

The main reason for parental supervision, the organization says, is because younger children usually get caught up in the excitement of Halloween and may dart out into the street without remembering to look both ways.

Here's some advice they have for parents have some advice.

"Talk to your kids about walking safely. On Halloween night, the number of injuries and fatalities actually doubles, making it the riskiest night of the year for kids to be outside," said Kate Carr, the President and CEO of Safe Kids Worldwide.
