GLENDALE, Ariz. -

A 39-year-old Scottsdale woman is facing aggravated DUI charges. Police say she drove drunk with her baby in the car.

Angela Lynne Erickson was booked into jail on charges of aggravated DUI-passenger under 15 and child abuse.

DPS pulled her over Monday evening because she was allegedly driving 30 miles per hour on a freeway with a 65 mph speed limit.

A number of motorists called 911 to report she was driving at varying speeds and nearly struck other vehicles in the heavy rush hour traffic.

A DPS sergeant stopped Erickson on the 101 near the 75th Ave exit. He observed an 18-month-old child in the backseat.

Erickson was allegedly exhibiting slurred speech, and had vomit and fecal matter stains on her clothes. DPS says she was talking with her eyes closed and leaning on her car for support.

She failed a field sobriety test and refused to do a blood draw, according to court documents. The officer obtained a warrant allowing a phlebotomist to take blood, but Erickson was combative.

DPS says she had to be restrained during the blood draw.

Results are not back yet.
