Adult business cards handed out to kids with Halloween candy

Adult business cards handed out to kids with Halloween candy

CALHOUN, Ga. -

Some parents in Calhoun are upset over what one business owner handed out to their children on Halloween. Tucked inside of a bag of candy was a card for an adult business store.

Tracy Baker said she found two business cards in her 2-year-old granddaughter's candy stash. One was for a jewelry store, the other was for an online adult store.

"I said, ‘Oh my God, I can't believe that.' Not in a Halloween, a bag full of candy – that's ridiculous," Baker said.

An independent sales woman for an adult supply company out of Las Vegas apparently stuffed the cards in the bag of candy and passed them out in downtown Calhoun. Baker said it more of a trick than a treat.

"It kind of disgusts me to think that a child in today's technology can pull up anything on their iPad, laptop, anything and could have seen that," said Baker.

A spokeswoman for the company, Passion Parties, said they do not condone the sales rep's choice in advertising and they have taken her website down in case any cards still linger.

The sales representative did not return a call from FOX 5 requesting comment.

Police say they investigated the incident and they believe this was a matter of poor judgment. No charges will be filed.
