Warrant arrests lead to counterfeit money ring

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Police in Daytona Beach were on a mission to arrest 26-year-old Brodie Hamilton, wanted on an outstanding drug warrant.  In doing so, they said they stumbled onto a counterfeit money operation at a home on Hawk Street Wednesday afternoon.

Three others in the house, 26-year-old Jasmine Hayward, 25-year-old Deryck Barcous and 23-year-old Shawntaye Hayward, were also found to have warrants when police ran their names.

Police said they found a copy machine, sheets of counterfeit cash and counterfeit bills and a rifle.
All four were arrested.  The counterfeit money part of the investigation was turned over to the Secret Service.
