RIVERDALE, Ga. -

Police say they have arrested two people in connection to the death of 15-year-old boy whose body was found in a wooded area near Riverdale on Tuesday evening.

A spokesperson for the Clayton County Police Department tells FOX 5 News that 21-year-old Contessa Viniesha Neal and 17-year-old Tajh Daeon Hare have been arrested for the execution-style shooting of 15-year-old Travon Crump. The teen was found lying near an old golf cart path near Tee Trace and Inverness Trace around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators say the pair told them they were trying to prevent crime.  They claimed Crump was planning to burglarize their homes when they shot and killed him. They say the pair lured the teen into the wood line, where they eventually shot him.

Police say that Neal admitted to luring Crump to the scene and attempting to shoot him, but could not. They say Hare was ultimately the triggerman.

Both are being charged with murder and were booked into the Clayton County Jail.

Ten time Ironman, Dave Nazaroff recently rode 900 miles on his bicycle...from Nyack, New York...to Georgia. He didn't do it to get in shape, or to win a competition; he did it to raise money for a 11 year old Callie Truelove in Gainesville, Georgia.
