Clinton Twp. police have released surveillance footage of the hit and run that killed 20-year-old Bobbi Roberts in hopes that it will help the public identify the driver.

The crash happened on northbound Gratiot Avenue south of Capital Drive around 11:25 p.m. November 29 as Bobbi was walking home from work.

"You can see the pedestrian just walking south along Gratiot, appears beyond the shoulder area there, and a south-bound vehicle comes by, illuminates her, and then a SMART bus goes northbound. And then the striking vehicle will appear seconds later in the video, although it's father away, when the headlights come upon the pedestrian it clearly shows it's a person, gets struck, and then it shows the body being thrown and coming to rest on the shoulder area where we found the decedent," explains Lt. Raymond Macksoud of Clinton Twp. Police.

"There was a second vehicle behind that striking vehicle that, their headlights illuminated onto the person laying on the roadway. But we have not had that person come back yet," Macksoud adds.

Police say if you were driving along Gratiot in that area at that time of night, and believe you saw something, to tell them because they say any information could help in the investigation of this case.

Friends and family gathered at the scene of the accident Friday night. They also ask for those who know something to come forward with the information.
