FOX 29 & United Way Partner For Share The Warmth Clothing Drive

PHILADELPHIA -

It is cold today, and the Share the Warmth Clothing Drive is going on outside the FOX 29 station in Old City from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. All the donated clothes will go to local shelters.

Q Deezy joined FOX 29 today to talk to some of the awesome donors.

Peter from Center City was the first come and give back.

"My apartment's filled with a lot of stuff, but I kind of gotta get rid of it," Peter humbly said when Q pointed out how much clothes Peter brought.

This event was done in partnership with the United Way. Anyone who can't make it out today should donate clothes to the United Way building. They need hats, gloves, scarves, coats and any heavy winter clothing.

FOX 29 fan Gina came at around the 9 a.m. hour. She even brought her grandkids to share the love.

At around 9:30, two car clubs and a social club came and gave clothes. FOX 29's Steve Keeley wants FOX 29 to open a satellite location next year because so many people wanted to donate but couldn't make the drive down to the station. Anyone who still wants to drop off clothes can do so at the United Way building: 1709 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy, Philadelphia, PA 19103.

For folks in need of winter clothes, dial 211.
