Thieves Break Into High School Football Player's Home

While an 18-year-old high school quarterback in Georgia was out helping his team wins the state championship.

A Grinch was at the teen's home stealing his family's stuff even their Christmas gifts.

Jacques Parks was celebrating a high school highlight when he helped his team win the state championship.

"It was very exciting. One of the best days of my life," Jaques said.

But victory soon changed to defeat.

" Everything just turned to heartbreak," Jaques said.

While Jacques, quarterback for The Griffin Bears, worked to win the state title. Crooks were at work too inside his home breaking through the back door with an ax. His home was ransacked.

"My Ipad, my TV, game system, money, clothes ," Jaques said. Even Christmas presents under the tree taken.  "They have no heart at all," he said.

"You should bring it back.. Put it back on the porch," Jaques' mom Cassandra Parks said.

Police dusted for fingerprints are pursuing some leads, while the football team's booster club tries to help this family.

Despite the odds, the quarterback still has a winning attitude.

"They can take away gifts, everything valuable. They have but they can't take away what's inside me," Jaques said.

The Parks Family hopes the thieves do the right thing- and return their stolen belongings.
