Authorities say a mother and daughter were found safely in Lowndes County after being abducted hours earlier on Monday.

According to police, two men abducted 22-year-old Isabel Godinez Lopez and her daughter, Yoselin Michelle Coc Godinez, from a home on Clairview Drive in Chamblee around 11:50 a.m. Lopez's ex-husband, 27-year-old Juan Luis Coc Reyes, was one of the abductors, police said.

Lopez managed to call her current boyfriend, Joel Godinez Lopez, from the bathroom of a restaurant. She told him about the abduction and said he was afraid for their safety. She told him that they were going to Florida.

The mother and daughter were found around 5 p.m. after a Georgia State Patrol trooper spotted the vehicle on I-75 about 12 miles north of the Florida state line. They were unharmed.

Authorities arrested Reyes and a second man, Porfirio Alvarez, in the abduction. They are being held in Lowndes County and face kidnapping charges.

According to the Chamblee Police Department, Lopez has been separated from Reyes for two years. She left the Hollywood, Fla. Area in order to get away from him after a history of threats and domestic violence, police said.
