MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (WJBK) -- Officials say the Macomb County Circuit Court building reopened Thursday afternoon following an earlier bomb threat.

Sheriff Anthony Wickersham says the building on 40 N. Main was evacuated around 8:45 a.m. after a series of calls about a bomb or explosive device inside the courthouse.

Wickersham says two K-9 units performed a floor-by-floor search and the building was deemed safe shortly after 12:30 p.m.

The investigation into the threat continues.
