ATLANTA -

Former Georgia Tech and NBA basketball star Javaris Crittenton waived his first appearance at the Fulton County Jail on Thursday morning.

Crittenton was arrested in Fayette County on Wednesday morning.

Crittenton was one of 14 people arrested in a drug trafficking sting early Wednesday. He is charged with two counts of drug possession in Fulton County.

According to Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard, Crittenton and the other suspects are accused of selling multiple kilos of cocaine and several hundred pounds of marijuana during a 7-month investigation dating back to June 12.

The former NBA player is currently out on bond for murder and gang related charges stemming from the shooting death of 23-year-old Julian Jones, a mother of four.

Crittenton was arrested in Los Angeles back in August 2011.

Jones' mother, June Woods, said she was upset that Crittenton was out on $230,000 bond on that murder charge.

"While he's running up and down the streets, my daughter is not able to do that," Woods said.

An Orlando law firm is set to file a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of Jones' children on Thursday as well, FOX 5 has learned.
