TAYLOR, Mich. (WJBK) -

Michigan State Police released the name of the driver killed Thursday in a single car accident along M-14 in Plymouth Township.

Lt. Michael Shaw says 53-year-old Kimberly Bauer was traveling eastbound on M-14 around 11:50 a.m. when she lost control of her Toyota Prius, which overturned several times just west of Sheldon Road.

Shaw says Bauer, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.

She was transported to Botsford Hospital and pronounced dead.

The highway was closed for several hours while crews conducted their investigation.
