CHERRY HILL, N.J. -

We went to check in on FOX 29's Shawnette Wilson covering the blizzard in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Cherry Hill is usually busy with the mall on 38 and restaurants lining route 70 but snow is what kept people off the roads tonight and businesses closed except for one place.

On a night like this, you don't expect to see much outside except snow plows and emergency vehicles.

In fact, in a town known for shopping malls and plenty of choices in restaurants nothing was open the snow shut it all down.

Wegmans was open we decided to come in and see if we can just grab something different than we have at home."

Desiree Johnson picked up her daughter from the bus station coming home from college and was delighted to find Wegman's open.

"Everything I have I didn't want to eat," Desiree said.

We found quite a few people had the same idea. Ramin Nazari's wife dragged him out of the house.

"I asked her what are you going to buy? She said I don't know I just do some shopping,"Ramin said.

"It's nice there's no cars on the road and feels like fun to drive in this weather and when you're hungry you gotta eat," Bruce Kates said.

These shoppers admit though that getting here was not easy with continuous snowfall and plow trucks working everywhere.
