Cops work to reunite boy, 14, found in Lakeview with family

The 14-year-old boy found wandering in the North Side Lakeview neighborhood has been identified.

A teen boy who identified himself as Shavon Davis was found near North Halsted Street and West Roscoe Street, according to an alert from police News Affairs.

The boy gave officers several different names for himself and his mother and told them he was from the Joliet and Plainfield area, police said. He told police he has been wandering in the city for about two months after being displaced on 111th Street.

Police said Tuesday morning that the teen has been identified and detectives are working to reunite him with his family.
