BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. (WJBK) -

The roof above the entrance to Leo's Coney Island on Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Hills came crashing down on Sunday. Contractors are saying at least a ton of snow was weighing down the structure.

The collapse happened while the restaurant was open. Nobody was injured.

Construction workers tell FOX 2's Robin Murdoch they've been seeing several roof collapses similar to this one because of all the snow we've gotten this winter.

At least four neighboring businesses in the same complex as the restaurant had to shut down, fearing the building wasn't sturdy enough.

Contractors are working to secure the portion of the building to make it structurally sound.

The businesses are expected to be open again by mid-week.
