Connecticut Considers Banning Loud Movies

Posted: Updated:

Connecticut is taking a historic first step in the movie business, but it's not what you may think.

They could become the first state to ban loud movies.

The Public Safety and Security Committee is considering a bill that would require all movies to be played at 85 decibels or lower.

This is to minimize hearing loss for workers at the theaters.

The Motion Picture Association of America opposes the bill.

They believe it violates the first amendment
