The State Attorney's Office filed paperwork Tuesday to charge a 15-year-old Marion County boy as an adult for attempting to kill his girlfriend's mother.

Investigators say 13-year-old Yaquelin Galvez-Don and her 15-year-old boyfriend Pedro Solis are accused of trying to kill Don's mother because she didn't approve of their relationship.

The teens face charges of conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder.

Marion County deputies say she lured her mother to their garage where they say Solis slit her throat.

The mother survived and told detectives what happened.
Solis will be arraigned Wednesday morning on attempted murder charges.   Galvez-Don is due back in court April 1.   Both teens are being held in the Marion County Juvenile Detention center.
