PHOENIX (KSAZ) -

Crews rushed to a water purification plant near Sky Harbor Airport after tanks overheated.

This happened near 29th Street and Washington Tuesday night.

According to the Phoenix Fire Department, there was some sort of chemical reaction in the Summit Chemical Speciality building.

Steam was seen coming out of the tanks, which have hydrochloric acid, water and aluminum inside.

Fire crews used water to cool the tanks off.  They're monitoring the units to make sure levels are safe.

No injuries were reported.
