Rocket launcher found in burning Phoenix home

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -

No one was home when the fire broke out near 32nd St. and McDowell, but there were several animals inside the home.

A dog and bird were killed, but that's not all crews found inside -- firefighters found a rocket launcher and several other antique weapons.  The rocket launcher is a collectible and no longer able to fire.

"The Phoenix bomb squad came out, x-rayed it and made sure of that and thanks to them, we're back in the house getting the job done," said Larry Nunez of the Phoenix Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
