Man Reaches Through Window, Holds Gun To Clerk's Face

PHILADELPHIA -

Police are seeking a man who pulled a gun and reached through protective glass to hold it against a clerk's head inside a Philadelphia market.

The robbery occurred Saturday at 8:38 a.m. inside Kim's Market, located at 6201 Market Street in Haddington.

Surveillance video released Tuesday by police shows the suspect grabbing a beverage and then taking it to the counter to purchase. Then, he pulls a handgun from his waistband, demands money and reaches through an opening in the glass to holds the weapon against the clerk's head.

When the clerk moves away, the gunman puts the upper half of his body through the opening and starts grabbing money from the cash drawer.

After grabbing an undisclosed amount of cash, the man ran off. He was last seen headed west on Market Street.

Police described the suspect as a black male, about 35-yearsold, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build, medium complexion, bald with a mustache, wearing a white jacket and black pants.
