Social media sensations Nash Grier, Cameron Dallas to star in movie

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Nash Grier and Cameron Dallas describe themselves as teens who make videos, but with each having more than two million followers on Twitter, more than three million on Instagram and approximately 11 million followers combined on Vine, they're doing more than just making videos.

"We see something, an every day thing, and we think 'what can we do with this?' " said Dallas, 18.

The social media sensations have caught the eye of Hollywood director and producer Brian Robbins who is also the CEO of AwesomenessTV, a network of online video channels.

"We recently signed with AwesomenessTV. We’re going to do skits, produce YouTube videos and make this movie,” said Grier.

The teens are keeping tight-lipped about the projects particularly the movie.

Robbins is behind hit movies such as 'Varsity Blues' and 'Hardball.'

Like true actors, the pair always seem to be in character from making sound effects, offering up strange faces, even rubbing themselves during their interview with Good Day New York on Thursday.

In one of their more popular videos, Grier, Dallas and a friend are seen having a pickle eating contest.

"Whoever ate the whole jar first won. Tthe two people that lost had to get their legs waxed," said Grier.

The side gig for Grier, who is still in high school, and the full time job for Dallas is bringing in money.

"(We have) brand deals and monetize the videos on social media," said Grier.
