LAMAR COUNTY, Ga. - Strong winds caused extensive damage at one Lamar County school.

The Harris Building, at Lamar County High School, remains closed after the building's roof collapsed during a storm Tuesday.

The building houses the school's athletic and JROTC programs.

The district recently spent about $90 thousand renovating the nearly 70-year-old structure.

The 150 students enrolled in summer programs were gone for the day.
