Old City Wallet Theft Leads To Shopping Spree Within Hour

Police say they're looking for a man wanted in connection with a theft in Old City.

On June 8 at 4:30 p.m., while a customer was inside Mac's Tavern located at 226 Market Street, an unknown male took her wallet.

Within the next hour, that customer's American Express Card was used at three different locations: Wawa, Target and Walmart. Police say security video from all four locations depicts the suspect that had stolen the wallet using the American Express Card at all three locations.

Police described the suspect as black, 50 years-of-age with a heavy build, wearing glasses, a white, striped short-sleeved shirt, and tan or white pants.
