HALL COUNTY, Ga. - Five people died and one person was injured in a two vehicle crash in Hall County Monday morning.

The wreck involving a tractor trailer and a Ford Explorer happened at around 10:45 a.m. on Athens Highway near Oak Grove Road.

A trooper at the scene reported the Explorer left its lane, crossed the concrete median and traveled in the oncoming lane where it struck the tractor trailer head-on.

Four people inside the Explorer died in the crash, another was transported to a hospital and later died.

Medics transported a two-year-old to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. That child passed away Monday afternoon.

The driver was identified as Amanda Lynn Pardue, 34. And the passengers were identified as Robbie Hollis, 53, and 2-year-old Elli Emfinger, 8-year-old Kaleigh Emfinger and 13-year-old Dalton Martin.

The truck driver who troopers say was not at fault was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in stable condition.

Personnel with the Hall County Sheriff’s Department, Hall County Fire Services, and Georgia State Patrol are investigating the accident.

Joint funeral services will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Amanda Lynn Pardue, Kaleigh Lynn Emfinger and Eli Lamar Emfinger.
