Bartow woman demands answers after finding puppy beaten

BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. -

A Bartow County woman is outraged and demanding answers about an attack on her pet.

She believes someone beat her Shepherd mix puppy and left it for dead.

Breanna Warren says her eight-month-old puppy, Cooper, escaped from a fence Friday.

While looking for him, Warren heard the dog crying.

Warren says she found Cooper’s injured body near the woods and believes someone beat him.

Veterinarians told Warren the puppy wasn’t going to make it, but days later Cooper is still alive. The dog is recovering at Blue Pearl Veterinary in Sandy Springs and has a long recovery ahead.

The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office is not investigating because they say the puppy could have been hurt anywhere after he escaped.
