Florida man in Oconee County jail, charged in runaway case

OCONEE COUNTY, Ga. -

A 36-year-old man charged with taking a 14-year-old girl from Oconee County to Florida after meeting her on the Internet has been brought back to Georgia.

Florida resident Robert Louis Coggins is charged with enticing a child for indecent purposes and interference with custody, according Chief Deputy Lee Weems with the Oconee County Georgia Sheriff's Office.

His bond was set Monday afternoon at $1 million.

Coggins remains in the Oconee County jail as of Tuesday night.

According to reports, the 14-year-old left voluntarily with Coggins on June 9. Coggins was taken in to custody the next night.

The girl said she was not physically harmed.
