YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities have filed attempted murder charges against a 19-year-old Washtenaw County man for his role in a gang fight that left a 17-year-old boy dead.

Keandre Duff was arraigned Wednesday, and Magistrate Elisha Fink set his bond at $70,000. Fink also ordered that Duff get a court-appointed lawyer.

The Ypsilanti Township man also is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possessing a firearm during a felony. He told the magistrate Wednesday that he's on probation for marijuana possession and faces marijuana delivery and gun-buying charges.

A probable cause hearing is set July 10.

So far, no one's charged in the fatal shooting early Saturday of Keon Washington of Ypsilanti.

Ypsilanti police tell The Ann Arbor News that they released a 17-year-old boy picked up earlier as a suspect.
