Days after Florida's Attorney General James Uthmeier announced a criminal investigation into Sloth World, after over 50 sloths died, the Orange County Sheriff's office announced it is assisting with the investigation. This comes on the heels of Florida Representative Maxwell Frost and Anna Eskamani demanding accountability. 

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said it would declare a "special event zone" near Camping World Stadium ahead of this weekend's 4-day Rolling Loud Orlando hip-hop music festival. That festival runs May 8-10 at Camping World Stadium. The special event zone will active starting Thursday, May 7, at 6 p.m. through 8 a.m. on Monday, May 11.

About 30 Chihuahuas were dumped in the middle of U.S. 1 in St. Johns County on May 4. A vet tech, who saw what happened called for help, resulting in tons of people "dog wrangling" to get the abandoned pups off the street.

Nearly two miles from the shore, a group of six called for help as their boat began to sink on Lake Toho. St. Cloud Police, in the right place at the right time, conducted a rescue, saving all six people. 

A place of worship, a Buddhist temple in Sanford, was destroyed as footage captured Singhasouk "Danny" Phanouvong, 51 tossing the temple and setting it on fire. The temple's attorney said the suspect is known to the temple.

Palm Bay residents are bearing their frustrations after asked to leave their homes on April 30 out of caution when a brush fire threatened nearby homes. The fire comes after the area caught fire twice earlier in the week.

James Yawn was said to be traveling at a high speed, weaving in and out of moderate traffic and driving aggressively without regard to the safety of others in the road, a Florida Highway Patrol report said. Yawn was described as having very red, watery glossy bloodshot eyes and white crust in the corners of his mouth, troopers said. He also showed indicators of being under the influence of cannabis, FHP said. 

Palm Bay's mayor says developing The Compound, a 200-mile undeveloped area, could prevent the crime on the land. This comes after 10 brush fires occurred in two days. 

Concern is growing after 10 fires affect The Compound in Palm Bay in two days. Fire crews quickly put out the fires, but officials are suspicious about how the fires started. 

Though nine teens were arrested and two deputies were hurt following a teen takeover involving over 1,000 teens, Orange County officials are calling on parents to step in, rather than creating a youth curfew. In a similar situation in Daytona Beach, involving social media takeovers, a curfew helped the situation. 

Nine separate fires burned in West Palm Bay, at The Compound on April 28, in what officials are calling "suspicious." While the cause of the fire is under investigation, police say they believe the fires were intentionally set.
