A Florida man, David Micale, was arrested after a man, appearing to be drunk near a DeLand Walmart, left his dogs in a car. Both dogs later died from heat stroke, deputies said. 

A South Florida man, Alexis Martínez-Arizala, was arrested after authorities accuse him a false reporting, after he allegedly told a Seminole County deputy that people were in his squad car, when the video was artificially created. Arizala is being extradited from Puerto Rico where he was arrested. 

Newly released body camera footage shows the arrest of a driver who fled from Winter Park to Lake Mary after two window workers were shot. 

Two men were hurt in a shooting that took place near the University of Central Florida on April 8. Deputies reported that the men were transported to the hospital, but have not disclosed whether an arrest has been made in connection to this incident. 

New video obtained by FOX 35 shows a Sumter County school bus, driven by Yvonne Hampton, slowly inching forward across railroad tracks in Bushnell as a CSX train sweeps by and hits the back of the train. Hampton has now been charged with 29 counts of child neglect. 

Yvonne Hampton, 67, was released on bond in Sumter County after being charged with child neglect after a train crashed into a school bus with students on it. FOX 35 crews caught Hampton leaving the jail on April 7. 

A Sumter County man, Derek Vaughn, is accused of killing his mother, claiming "God told him to do it." Investigators say the mother was on the phone saying her son was going to kill her. Vaughn stabbed his mother and later shot her, deputies say. 

A now former Sumter County school bus driver, Yvonne Hampton, 67, was released on a $30,000 bond after being charged with 29 counts of child neglect -- $1,000 per count. 

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood is warning social media promoters against a "Daytona Beach Takeover" event after flyers were posted on social media sites. The event is scheduled for this week, April 6 through 11. Chitwood is warning promoters now, this event should not take place.  “You can't promote events which shoot and loot is the underscoring theme to this,” Chitwood told FOX 35's Chancelor Winn. 

Students were in shock after their school bus was involved in a crash with a train. "I closed my eyes as hard as I could before that, and I’m thankful that nothing really bad happened, but it could’ve been way worse," said a student. Now, the bus driver is behind bars and facing 29 counts of child neglect without great bodily harm.

Lucas Sander Jones, 19, was charged with the murder of a registered sex offender, Colie Lee Daniel. Investigators said evidence and witness statements show Jones cut up Daniel's body and put his body parts in a suitcase. Jones' girlfriend told police he told her not to say anything.

A man was airlifted to the hospital after authorities say he was shot by his father – an elderly man with dementia, deputies say. The Osceola County Sheriff's office responded to an area on Westmoreland Circle in Kissimmee regarding a shooting that took place around 12:40 p.m. on April 3.
