Started in 1995, the program has awarded more than 1,00 grants totaling nearly $6 million. Some of that grant money was awarded to the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity's "Young Men of Distinction Program," which helped Sheldon Williams when he was younger. Today, he has returned to Orlando as a mentor and football coach.
