'No Kings' protestor speaks in Daytona Beach

"No Kings Day" protests are being held nationwide this weekend to protest President Donald Trump’s policies. "No Kings" protests have kicked off in Apopka, Casselberry, Lake Mary, Leesburg, Mount Dora, Poinciana and Daytona Beach. 'No Kings Day' protests break out across Central Florida

"No Kings Day" protests are being held nationwide this weekend to protest President Donald Trump’s policies. The protests coincide with Trump’s military parade, commemorating the Army’s 250th anniversary, which also happens to be the president’s birthday and Flag Day. Demonstrators are expected to rally in almost 2,000 cities, with several protests being held in Central Florida.

Officials, Apopka family torn apart by deportation speak

An Apopka family has been torn apart by deportation. Esvin Juarez, a small business owner and father of four U.S.-citizen children, was detained when he showed up to his immigration check-in, disappeared for eight days, and later deported to Guatemala. Mr. Juarez was well into the process of receiving a U visa, a protected status afforded to victims of crime. His wife, Rosmeri Miranda, was detained on Thursday and faces deportation. Their children, including 21-year-old Beverly Juarez, now face life without their parents.

Federal hearing on guard, marines deployment

A federal court hearing is scheduled for Thursday on whether the Trump administration can use the National Guard and Marines to assist with immigration raids in Los Angeles. The governor of California filed an emergency motion requesting the court's intervention after President Donald Trump ordered the deployment of roughly 4,000 National Guard members and 700 Marines to L.A. following protests over his aggressive enforcement of immigration laws.

U.S. border policies impacting Olympics, World Cup

The U.S. Senate, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Governmental Affairs Oversight Committee held a meeting Tuesday to talk about the impact of President Donald Trump's border policies when it comes to international sporting events, such as the 2028 Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup.

Gov. DeSantis slams anti-ICE protests

Gov. Ron DeSantis spoke at a Florida Cabinet meeting on Tuesday to honor first responders. During his remarks, DeSantis also touched on his push to eliminate property taxes and ended by slamming the anti-ICE protects taking place around the country.

LA immigration protests: Trump sends troops, Marines

President Donald Trump is sending an additional 2,000 National Guard members to help respond to protests in Los Angeles over immigration raids. The Associated Press reported that an initial 2,000 Guard troops ordered by Trump arrived Sunday, which saw the most violence during the three days of protests in the city. The president also deployed 700 Marines to help them Monday.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia returns to U.S. to face charges

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland man who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador, was returned to the United States Friday to face criminal charges. Abrego Garcia is facing charges for alien smuggling and conspiracy to commit alien smuggling, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi.
