Police say one person was killed and another was injured following an early morning shooting at McCabe?s Bar in DeLand. The person killed has been identified as 32-year-old Keshod Harris. Officials said the suspect in the shooting fled the scene and has not yet been located. Authorities believe about 30 to 40 other people were in the bar at the time. Ocoee man rescues alligator found under his truck
An Ocoee man was shocked when he went to get into his truck and found an alligator underneath. The man as able to safely wrangle the gator using a broom before then grabbing him, taping his mouth shut and calling police for help. The gator was then released back into a nearby lake.

A deadly hit-and-run crash shut down the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Palm Bay on Friday morning. Officials said two surveyors were killed in the crash. Troopers have now located and arrested the semi-truck driver who they said fled the scene of the crash. Hassan Abdirahman Sheikh Ali, 36, is facing two counts of hit-and-run involving death. He is expected in court this morning.

A Florida inmate that was assigned to a prison work crew contracted by the City of Palm Coast is facing additional charges after robbing a home while on work duty. Both the man and another state prison inmate that helped him have extensive criminal histories that include burglary and theft-related charges. Both inmates were relocated to disciplinary confinement and will no longer be permitted to participate in a state inmate work crew.
