The governor of California filed an emergency motion requesting the court's intervention after President Donald Trump ordered the deployment of roughly 4,000 National Guard members and 700 Marines to L.A. following protests over his aggressive enforcement of immigration laws.
U.S. and China agree on trade framework
The United States and China have reached a "framework" to implement a trade deal struck between the two sides last month in Geneva.
