Gruesome details shared in couple's killing in Mount Dora

Newly-released documents are sharing new details and information into the alleged murders of two older residents at a senior living facility on New Year's Eve in Mount Dora, Florida, including how the couple may have died and how authorities were able to track down the alleged suspect in Georgia. According to the arrest affidavit, Sharon Getman, 80, and her husband, Darryl Getman, 83, were found dead inside their home after what appears to be a violent – and seemingly random – attack. The report said both Sharon and Darryl had serious injuries to their head, face, and stomach.

Still no arrests in Mt. Dora killings

The family of two Mt. Dora convenience store owners continue to seek justice after they were gunned down by a killed late last year. Surveillance video shows the suspect just before he pulled the trigger. Police say they are still getting tips.

A woman has been arrested, accused of providing a false statement to law enforcement officers. Investigators said she failed to call 911 after discovering two convenience store owners in distress following a shooting. The two have since died.
