The Apopka Police Department said they responded to a reference of a domestic disturbance around 7 a.m. on Saturday in the area of the Breckenridge subdivision. After an hours-long stand-off, officials said they arrested 39-year-old Joseph Rivera. Authorities said Rivera is facing charges of aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a firearm, and further charges are currently under review.

The treasury department reports that spending is up more than $139 billion in the first three months of this yea. The federal government has borrowed $41 million more during that period than last year. Democrats are now questioning where DOGE is adding to the deficit by making cuts that later end up being overturned by the courts.
