A $1 billion sports complex, named "The Dynasty," is being proposed for Central Florida by Montierre Development. Spanning 150 acres, the Ocoee Regional Sports Complex would feature over 17 multipurpose sports fields, restaurants, retail spaces, and a hotel.

No decisions have been made, but the city is considering ways to add more parking and considering parking increases to match other events. It is also potentially considering allowing residents to charge people fees to park in their yards.

"Flying was his life." That's how a friend will remember Thomas Russell Harvey, 75, a pilot who died earlier this week when his plane crashed in a remote part of Flagler County. Harvey was flying from Sebastian to Palatka when his plane dropped off radar and descended rapidly, officials said. The NTSB and FAA are investigating what happened.

The speed limit is being reduced in downtown Kissimmee. The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph on three streets -- from 30 mph.
