Xavier Williams, 10, was laid to rest by his family and friends on Saturday morning in Connecticut. The boy was allegedly tortured to death by his own mother and her boyfriend in Lake County, Florida. He died last month after spending a month in the hospital. His mother and her boyfriend are charged with first-degree murder.

New community garden opens in Pine Hills
Hundreds of Pine Hills residents are expected to gather this Thursday afternoon for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Pine Hills Community Garden. In addition to the opening ceremony, Orange County is partnering with the local nonprofit IDEAS For US to give away more than 100 trees to Pine Hills residents.
