Loved ones are speaking out after an Orlando woman was shot in the face outside a Wawa in Orange County. Investigators said the alleged shooter was someone the victim had known since childhood. The suspect has been arrested and is now facing multiple felony charges.

Anna Kepner, 18, was found dead on a Carnival cruise ship on November, 7, 2025. This week marks three months since the Titusville teen left on a vacation with her family and never came home.

A Rockledge Police Department crossing guard was hit by a vehicle on Feb. 5 while directing traffic Golfview Elementary Magnet School in the school zone, police said. She's now in critical condition.

Kissimmee triple murder suspect order to appear before judge

A judge has officially ordered the man accused of killing three tourists in Kissimmee to appear in person for his arraignment. Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, 29, is accused of killing three men visiting from Michigan and Ohio and staying in a Kissimmee rental home were shot and killed on Jan. 17.

The city of Sanford reported vandalism to the Riverwalk area, releasing images of words in red, yellow and black spray paint covering one of the swing pavilions. Crews faced obstacles in removing the paint due to the porous material in the pavilion, which absorbed the paint and made the removal difficult. No suspects have been identified at this time, police say.

Mount Dora High School's new head football coach, Colby Erskin, 39, was arrested in Sanford after deputies confirmed Erskin had an active warrant in Broward County.  The active warrant consisted of two counts: solicitation of a child and transmission of harmful materials to minors. 

Volusia County school worker accused of kicking student, 17

An employee of Seabreeze High School is accused of child abuse after deputies say he kicked a student. The Volusia County Sheriff's office, who is investigating the incident, said the 17-year-old student with down syndrome was having a bad day when the incident occurred.

2 students arrested after separate threats made to same Flagler County middle school

Two students were arrested in separate incidents after deputies say the students made school shooting threats to a middle school in Flagler County. A 13-year-old student was arrested after an investigation showed the teen boy sent written threats, through a social media platform, to harm another person at Indian Trails Middle School, the Flagler County Sheriff's office reported on Feb. 5. In addition to the written threats, deputies said the message included two pictures of guns. 

2 Lake Brantley High students plot attack for 'blood bond'

Two Lake Brantley High School students, 14 and 15, are facing charges as adults after police say they plotted to hurt another student. A report said the 15-year-old – identified as Isabelle Valdez – was fascinated with school shootings and wanted a connection with Adam Lanza – a now deceased school shooter.

Teen accused of setting his friend on fire

A Florida teen was arrested after the Marion County Sheriff's office said video evidence shows the teen intentionally set his friend on fire. Bradey Ming, 17, is facing a felony aggravated battery charge after a teen boy was lit on fire, deputies say. The boy was hospitalized with second-degree burns to his right hand, bottom and right leg. Deputies also reported a "deep full thickness burn" to his lower right leg, lower left leg and left thigh.

As the fields begin to thaw, the extent of the freeze is settling in at Southern Hill Farms in Clermont. The 120-acre farm had extensive damage to their blueberry, strawberry and sunflower crops.

SeaWorld rescues cold-stunned sea turtles

16 green sea turtles by SeaWorld Orlando’s rescue team following a severe freeze in Florida. These turtles are being treated for “cold stunning,” a condition that can occur when water temperatures drop below 50 degrees, causing the animals to become lethargic and unable to swim or eat.

Osceola Sheriff: 3 arrested in 2024 gang-related shooting

Osceola County Sheriff Christopher Blackmon announced Wednesday that three people have been arrested in connection to the 2024 shooting death of 20-year-old Kashorn Armand. Ta’Shard Smith, now 18, Sincere McKenzie, now 18, and Cornelius Wall, 21, were indicted by a grand jury. Armand was found dead inside a Range Rover on Nov. 15, 2024, at 2:45 a.m. The sheriff's office said he had been shot multiple times. Deputies believed this shooting was not random, and that it is potentially linked to gang activity.
