The 2025 Atlantic hurricane season officially begins on June 1, and much like last year, the FOX 35 Storm Team expects a lot of ocean heat content to fuel the potential for an above-average season. Forecasts call for up to 19 named storms, 10 hurricanes, and 5 major hurricanes.

While driving along Florida's Turnpike and tracking severe weather in the FOX 35 Thunder Truck, FOX 35's Nick Culotta witnessed a car swerve off the road near Exit 244 in the St. Cloud area.
