Sperm whale stranded off Florida coast

An approximately 50-foot sperm whale was found to be stranded stranded off Florida's gulf coast Sunday morning, near Venice. Officials said the tide was too rough to reach the whale during Sunday's early afternoon hours and teams would try again at low tide. Sadly, officials said the whale was not expected to survive and that it would likely become a "recovery" mission at that time.
