Emergency motion filed to find biological parents of child in IVF mix up
A Central Florida couple who gave birth in December to a child they later learned is not genetically theirs say a fertility clinic’s “chaotic” labeling system may explain how the mix-up occurred. In an emergency court motion, the couple’s attorney alleges clinic records show patients’ names were handwritten on the tiny straws used to store embryos, a practice they argue increased the risk of error.
