Downtown Apopka redevelopment project stalled, city says

A development project to build a focal point in the heart of downtown Apopka has stalled, the city says, and is blaming the developer. The city said the developer was supposed to submit design plans for the plaza in 2024, but those has not been submitted. The deal was reportedly included in a large plan to build affordable housing in the city. The developer has a 30-day deadline to submit those design plans.
