Alachua County Sheriff's Office Captain arrested for DUI

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Alachua County Sheriff's Office reports that very early on Sunday, October 29th, a Gainesville police officer arrested an Alachua County Sheriff's Office Captain.
The report states that a police officer with the Gainesville Police Department arrested the Alachua County Sheriff's Office Department of the Jail Captain Michael Donovan for Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
Mr. Donovan was reportedly transported to the Alachua County Sheriff's Office, Department of the Jail, where he was booked into the facility.
Captain Donovan was hired in March of 1990 and is currently assigned to the Department of the Jail's Support Services Division.
Donovan is said to have been placed on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of an internal investigation being conducted by the Alachua County Sheriff's Office, Office of Professional Standards.
