An alligator was captured in Pasco County on Saturday after deputies said it chased a group of swimmers.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office posted photos to Facebook of officials taking the gator into 'custody.'

The sheriff's office, along with Florida Fish and Wildlife (FWC) and an FWC trapper assisted in the capture. They said the alligator, which is estimated to be about 12-15 feet long, chased swimmers off of Durney Key.

"There were no injuries and the alligator was transported to a safe location by the trapper," the sheriff's office reported.
