Clermont police have arrested a man after investigating a call at Cooper Memorial Library earlier in the week about a child possibly being lured into a restroom by a man.

Investigators on Thursday distributed images taken from a security camera at the library, requesting help form the public in locating a person of interest.   Police received a Crimeline tip on Friday and were able to identify the person of interest as Aaron Joseph Moseley, 25, of Leesburg.

Police say Moseley admitted he was at the Clermont library at the time the alleged incident occurred and also
stated that it was him in the photos.   Investigators said Moseley refused to answer any further questions and requested a lawyer.

The victim, a 9-year-old girl, told police that Moseley was the same man who grabbed her by the hand and took her into the upstairs men’s bathroom.

"Once inside the bathroom, Moseley looked under the stalls to make sure they were alone, then picked her up by the waist and kissed her on the cheek, forehead, and the lips," read a news release sent to FOX 35 by Clermont Police spokesperson Officer Erin Razo.  "At that point, the victim told Moseley that she needed to get back to class and Moseley put her down, telling her to tell her mother that he did not hurt her."

Moseley has been charged with kidnapping and battery.  He was place in the Lake County Jail on a $26,000 bond.
