Candidates line up for Florida House races

At least four more candidates have taken initial steps this week to run for state House seats in 2018, according to filings with the state Division of Elections.

Democrat Joe Gordan Additon opened a campaign account Tuesday to challenge state Rep. Chuck Clemons, R-Newberry, in House District 21, which includes Dixie, Gilchrist and part of Alachua counties.

Meanwhile, Democrat Michael Blake became the fourth candidate to open a campaign account to try to succeed term-limited Rep. Tom Goodson, R-Rockledge, in Brevard County's House District 51.

In Miami-Dade County, Democrat Nancy Lee opened an account to run for the House District 112 seat held by Rep. Nicholas Duran, D-Miami, according to the Division of Elections.

Also in Miami-Dade, Republican Jose Mallea became the sixth candidate seeking to replace term-limited Rep. Jeanette Nunez, R-Miami, in House District 119.
