A 28-year-old woman is recovering after Holmes Regional Medical Center after apparently being bitten on the calf and ankle by a shark as she waded in the Atlantic Ocean off Florida's Cocoa Beach. Jill Kruse was in waist deep water when the bite occurred Sunday afternoon.  Officials haven't determined what kind of shark bit the woman.

Officials say the call came in after 2 p.m. and that by the time crews arrived, the wound had been wrapped by lifeguards.  Relatives said Kruse, who is from Colorado, was on her second day of vacation when the shark attack occurred -- she had been saving money for two years to make the trip.  Another relative pulled her from the water and paramedics rushed her to the hospital.

Kruse is expected to undergo surgery on Tuesday. A fund has been set up to help her with those expenses. To make a donation, click here
