FHP says teen driver struck teen on bicycle

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are asking for witnesses to come forward in an incident that left a teenager dead.  A memorial now stands where Michael Magloire, 15, was hit and killed while on his bicycle.

"I saw there was an accident, but I didn't think it was my brother," said Djego Magloire.  "When I came home at 10 o'clock I didn't see him, so I went over by the accident."

Troopers said it happened on Central Florida Parkway and Windover Way at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.  Djego said he got worried when he realized Michael didn't come home.    After visiting several hospitals, Djego discovered his brother  had died.

Investigators with the FHP said Michael was hit in the eastbound lane of Central Florida Parkway by a 17-year-old driver who was crossing the road. They are now trying to determine if speed was a factor and plan to reconstruct the scene.   "I wish I could tell him I miss him.  I want him back," Djego said.

Anyone with information should call Florida Highway Patrol.
