Florida reports 3,184 news coronavirus cases on Wednesday; 51 new deaths
LAKE MARY, Fla. - The Florida Health Department of Health reported 3,184 new coronavirus cases and 51 additional deaths on Wednesday.
That brings the statewide total number of cases to 2,278,549, with 35,882 Florida resident deaths and 716 non-resident deaths. The state is not reporting a total number of "recovered" coronavirus patients.
As of Wednesday, the number of Floridians currently hospitalized for a primary diagnosis of COVID-19 was 2,707.
Vaccination efforts continue across the state. Statewide, 9,397,252 had been vaccinated through Tuesday. Of that number, 6,597,885 people had completed two-dose vaccination series and 652,880 people had received one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
